  • Story Text: Israeli troops have arrested three Palestinians in the
    West Bank city of Hebron just hours after a Palestinian
    bombing killed at least seven people and wounded more
    than 80 at the Hebrew University in Jerusalem.



    The arrests took place hours after the bomb in a
    crowded cafeteria at lunch time at the international students
    centre of Jerusalem's Hebrew University.

    Witnesses in Hebron said soldiers broke into an internet
    coffee shop and found masks and Hamas flags. They arrested
    three Palestinians during their raid.

    U.S. civil rights leader Reverend Jesse Jackson cancelled
    on Wednesday (July 31) scheduled talks with the founder of
    Hamas, Sheikh Ahmed Yassin, after the militant group took
    responsibility for the bombing.

    Later, Jackson called on international intervention to
    bring warring Palestinians and Israelis back to the
    negotiating table. Jackson held talks with Palestinian
    President Yasser Arafat in Ramallah hours before the bomb in
    Jerusalem.
