- Story Text: Thousands of Israelis have marched throughout the
streets of Tel Aviv, calling the government to stop the
attacks on Palestinian areas and to resume negotiations with
the Palestinian Authority.
Left wing leaders, and former ministers Yossi Beilin
and Yossi Sarid were accompanied by the Palestinian
Authority's Sari Nusseibah, who is in charge of Jerusalem
affairs.
The rally proceeded from the Tel Aviv museum with men,
women and children carrying torches, and anti-war banners. The
rally then arrived at the Square named after former Prime
Minister Yitzhak Rabin, who was assassinated there in 1995
during a peace rally by a right wing Jew who opposed his peace
moves.
