  • Story Text: Palestinians in Lebanon protest against Israel's
    assassination of Sheikh Ahmed Yassin.



    Shops and schools closed in north Lebanon's
    Palestinian refugee camps and residents took to the streets
    on Monday (March 22) to vent their anger and vow revenge as
    the news broke that Israeli helicopters had killed Hamas
    spiritual leader Sheikh Ahmed Yassin with rockets outside a
    Gaza mosque.

    Hundreds of Palestinians carried black flags of
    mourning, Palestinian flags and pictures of the
    wheelchair-bound Hamas founder, and set tyres ablaze at the
    entrance to some camps.
