  • Story Text: Israeli police has arrested a Palestinian man suspected
    of attempting to carry out an attack in Jerusalem.



    Israeli undercover soldiers, who disguise themselves as
    Palestinians, arrested a Palestinian in Arab East Jerusalem
    carrying a bag containing two automatic weapons on Thursday
    (August 30), an Israeli police spokesman said.

    He said the Palestinian had intended to carry out a
    shooting attack.

    The soldiers, along with police, later surrounded a
    Palestinian house where they suspected the alleged guerrillas'
    accomplice had taken refuge.

    A police helicopter took to the air during the operation
    and Israeli security forces blocked off roads north of Jerusalem.
