- Story Text: Incessant rain causes flooding in Dead Sea resort
town.
Incessant rain and bad weather disrupted road
traffic and daily lives in Israel Thursday (December 4).
The floods came as Europe still struggled with flash
floods that have killed five people and forced 15,000 from
their homes.
Israeli rescue services received early warnings and
were well prepared to deal with floods throughout the
country.
Rivers in southern Israel overflowed and blocked main
highways. Heavy vehicles attempted to evacuate people stuck
in vehicles caught in the floods.
