- Story Text: Following six rounds of talks within a week between Israeli leaders and American Secretary of State Doctor Kissinger, prospects for a disengagement of Israeli and Syrian forces on the Golan Heights seem brighter. Israeli officials and Kissinger aides express the hopes Friday (May 10) after the last round of talks. A senior American aide even went as far as to say that chances of reaching agreement were better than even. Indications are that Doctor Kissinger has set next Tuesday (May 14) as the day by which he should know if his mission should come to an end.
After his talks with Israeli leaders, Doctor Kissinger and Foreign Minister Abba Eban spoke briefly to newsmen. Later Information Minister Peres was asked for his comments.
