- Story Text: An undisclosed number of pilots graduated on Thursday (July 12) on Israel's Airforce Day 1979.
During the celebrations the Air Force showed off a wide range of aircraft, both ??? flying displays and in the static exhibition. Included in the show were Phantom jets and heir bombs, mobile radar stations, guided missiles, helicopter formation flying, aerobatics and mid-air refuelling of aircraft.
The show was marred by the tragic death of an Israeli television cameraman, who was killed instantly when he was struck by the wing of an aircraft taking off. The location of the show was not made public for security reasons.
SYNOPSIS: Israel celebrated Air Force day on Thursday with the graduation of an undisclosed number of pilots at an airbase of secret location. Almost the full range of Israel's air power hardware was on show, either in static display, or in the air.

A large crowd of spectators watched the display, which included this flypast of Bell 205, 206 and Super Frelon helicopters
Two-seater trainer Fougas, built in Israel, put up an impressive display.
Single-seater Skyhawk attack bombers were refuelled in mid-air over the flying base..and Phantom jets, capable of flying at twice the speed of sound, went through some agile aerial paces.
