- Story Text: Argentina striker Carlos Tevez warned Germany on Tuesday (June 27) that they would have to up their game in the World Cup quarter-final in Berlin on Friday (June 30).
He told a news conference in Herzogebaurach that great players rise to the occasion in big matches, that Argentina had many and Germany would have to show more than they have so far in the tournament to beat them.
Tevez also rejected suggestions that he was the star striker, saying he was just in Germany to help.
Lionel Messi told the same news conference that Argentina was doing all right and could take on any opponent. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
