- Story Text: Dennis Rodman, one of the NBA's most controversial names, joined other former pro stars in Buenos Aires on Saturday (March 29) in a "Legends of Basketball" exhibition.
Sporting a blonde mohawk, Rodman entertained cheering Argentine basketball fans as he hosted the even.
Other former pros, including Gary Payton, Latrell Sprewell, Vin Baker, Charles Smith and Tony Campbell, joined Rodman in a game against the United States' best streetball players.
The two groups also faced off in a dunking exhibition.
"I think we had a good time. This is a success. Everybody had a fun time. As long as we dunk, then we did everything. They play hard. We did a good job," said Payton.
Following the event, Rodman autographed his sneakers and flung them into the audience.
Rodman was one of the National Basketball Association's top rebounders during his 1986-2000 career and earned a spot in the Hall of Fame.
He played for five teams and his flamboyant personality, tattoos, body piercings and multi-colored hair at times outshone his skills.
He recently made headlines again with a series of controversial trips to North Korea, where he spent time with leader Kim Jong Un.
Rodman checked into alcohol rehab in January, shortly after returning from his latest North Korea trip. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
