- Story Text: Euro 2008 fans use all their imagination to show support for their national teams, but the old-fashioned scarf remains most popular.
Anything goes in the world of football paraphernalia, and it seams the stranger, the better.
Classic t-shirts in team colors are not enough this summer and Croatian fans lead the way in making up original costumes. The red-white checkered suit has dominated the glamourous streets of haute couture capital Vienna.
Some shops switched to selling paraphernalia for the Euro cup and are visited by those fans who didn't come dressed up. Saleswoman Lisa, who runs a trinket shop turned fan shop, tries to attract Croatian fans by wearing their colors.
But Lisa says that among the hundreds of styles of gadgets, people mostly buy the simple scarves "because they're for men and for women and so. It's easy to wear them." - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
