- Story Text: PlayStation 3 fans may have to find other ways to pass the time as the popular gaming network continued to experience service disruptions on Friday (April 22).
Millions of PlayStation fans were greeted with a scrolling message about service outages when they attempted to log into the network. Some players said they have been experiencing problems with the network since Thursday (April 21).
Sony, the maker of PlayStation, said the network could be down for at least two days. Gamers have vented their frustration over the outage in chatrooms, blogs and on Twitter.
The PlayStation network allows for users to play video games with other users from around the world.
Several gaming blogs have suggested that the PlayStation network was brought down by hackers --- a point Sony has not responded to in any of its public messages. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
