- Story Text: Switzerland's hopes of advancing to the 2010 World Cup Round of 16 were dashed on Friday (June 25) when they drew 0-0 with Honduras.
Fans were understandably disappointed that their team could not beat Honduras, which had lost both of its previous group matches. Switzerland shocked Spain in their first group round match by beating them 1-0.
"I think that we had our chances to score, but we weren't strong enough to get through the Honduras defence," said Switzerland supporter Janny.
"I think the coach should have changed Nkufo earlier and brought in Yakin earlier. So I think the coach made a mistake, because the second half was better," said Switzerland fan Hans Geger.
Honduras disappointed in only their second World Cup appearance. But fans are hopeful that the team can qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
"It was a hard-fought match, we thought we could win it. We just weren't lucky enough to score a goal, but I think this is the team which will get us back to Brazil," said Honduras fan John Padgett.
Fellow Honduran supporter, Raul Hernandez said Honduras played an excellent match.
"At the end we're happy and we'll return to Honduras and hope to be in Brazil," said Hernandez.
