- Story Text: Fans of winter sports are familiar with her ice cool performances as a figure skater but on Wednesday (July 6) in Durban Yuna Kim will deliver Pyeongchang's presentation to the International Olympic Committee (IOC) ahead of their vote to decide the host city for the 2018 Winter Olympic Games.
When asked if she felt more nervous ahead of this presentation than competing in the Olympics, the reigning Olympic figure skating champion said practice would make perfect.
"I already experienced a presentation in Lausanne, this time I feel a little less nervous but I am still practising harder and this is our last presentation so I will try to make it perfect," said Yuna Kim.
This is the third consecutive time the South Korean city of Pyeongchang has bid to host the Winter Olympic Games. When asked what lessons had been learned from the two previous attempts, bid chairman Yang Yo Cho told reporters that consistency was the key to success.
"We made the last two years, we made a lot of good presentations and the last presentation on July 6th I think is very important but our new horizons message is consistent from beginning to end, so we have confidence our vision of the new horizons is good for the Olympic movement and we are going to maintain the new horizons message in our July 6th presentation," said Yang Yo Cho.
