- Story Text: Finishing touches are put to England's base for the World Cup.
South Africans at England's World Cup base in Rustenberg were putting the finishing touches to the presmies on Wednesday (June 2) ready to welcome the English the next day.
England are in World Cup Group C with Algeria, Slovenia and USA. They meet the Americans in Rustenberg on June 12; Algeria in Cape Town on June 18; and the Slovenians in Port Elizabeth on June 23.
Fabio Capello will remain as England coach until 2012, the Football Association (FA) said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Italian, taking England to the World Cup in South Africa, had been linked in Italian and British newspapers with the vacant manager's job at Inter Milan.
Former Juventus, AC Milan and AS Roma coach Capello has transformed England since taking charge after they failed to qualify for Euro 2008, winning 18 of his 24 games. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
