- Story Text: Germany trained at the Central University of Technology field in Bloemfontein, South Africa on Saturday (June 26) afternoon in preparation for their match against England in Sunday's (June 27) second round World Cup match.
Sunday's clash will be their fifth meeting in the World Cup finals and their first since the then-West Germany beat England on penalties in the 1990 semi-finals.
Powerhouse forward Miroslav Klose will be able to play on Sunday, after missing Germany's final group round match through suspension.
Germany does have one serious injury concern going into Sunday's match, Bastian Schweinsteiger.
The midfielder will only play if he is 100 percent fit, says coach Joachim Low, who describes Schweinsteiger as "the heart" of the team.
Germany won the World Cup as West Germany three times (1954, 1974 and 1990), been runners-up three times (1982, 1986 and 2002). - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
