- Story Text: Germany and Spain arrived at the Moses Mabhida stadium in Durban on Wednesday (July 7) for the second of the World Cup semi-finals.
Germany, winners of the trophy four times, the last being in 1990, could be slight favourites after thrashing Argentina 4-0 in the quarter-finals.
"Germans are a very good team and have proved themselves in previous games," said Lothar Huefner, a German fan.
"I think it will be a great victory for Germany, I think we will win 3-1 and (Miroslav) Klose will score two goals and (Lukas) Podolski one goal and then we will be in the final," said Martin Muer, another German fan.
Spain edged past Paraguay 1-0 in their quarter-final to reach the World Cup semi-finals for the first time in their history, but they are the reigning European champions, having beaten Germany 1-0 in the final in Vienna two years ago.
"I think it's going to be fantastic. There are a lot of people, I think the vibe is just amazing, getting here was easy and Spain is obviously going to win so I am very excited," said Spanish fan Niki Dietrichsem.
"I expect Spain to win, it's going to be tough, at the moment we are the underdogs against Germany, who are doing very well but we have a chance to really show good play. We have been playing against defensive teams all the time and now Germany are going to play a bit more open," said Jose Rodriguez, another Spanish fan.
The winners will take on the Netherlands in Sunday's (July 11) final. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
