- Story Text: Serbia's World Cup soccer team prepare for their second match against Germany, with their coach saying the players have to give more than they usually do.
Serbia's World Cup soccer squad trained on Thursday (June 17) to prepare for their second Group D match against Germany on Friday (June 18).
The training was held at the Nelson Mandela Metro University stadium in Port Elizabeth.
Serbia lost their opener to Ghana 1-0 and are in need of a win to keep their realistic chances of qualifying alive.
Team coach Radomir Antic told reporters that his players will need to give more than usual to win the game against Germany, but admitted that it would be a difficult game.
"We admit to the fact that we didn't play at the level we are used to in the game against Ghana and this game showed us that we have to be much more relaxed when we are playing tomorrow... we must not have anything preventing us to reach our goal, each team mate has to do better than he can usually do and I'm sure every player will manage to find special energy needed to win,"
he said.
Germany crushed Australia 4-0 on Sunday (June 13) in Durban with an overall performance thsat gained them widespread praise.
