- Story Text: Denmark and Cameroon fans gathered in Pretoria on Saturday (June 19) to cheer their teams who face each other in Loftus Versfeld stadium in Group E.
Both sides desperately need a win after Denmark crashed out 2-0 in their opening tie against the Netherlands and Cameroon suffering a 1-0 defeat to Japan.
"I think its going to be 2-1 Denmark. We have to win, we have to win. It is very important," said Denmark fan, Cecilia Hauerberb.
Cameroon fans were also feeling confident.
"The last time, the team had a small problem, but today I think the team is well, and will do well today. We are sure that everything is ok. And all of Africa is behind our team, and you will see we will win," said Jean-Peter.
The Cameroon camp had been in disarray after a revolt by senior players against coach Paul Le Guen's decision to play less experienced youngsters in their first game but on Friday (June 19) the manager bowed to pressure and agreed to change the line-up.
Denmark fans were feeling positive after Netherlands beat Japan 1-0.
"I feel quite good, Holland won today so that helps us a bit, and I think we are going to win, hopefully 2-nil would be really good. So that's what we are going to go for," said Danish fan, Neils.
Denmark have never lost to an African side at the World Cup, with a win and two draws in previous meetings, but they are struggling with injuries.
All fans were feeling the pressure.
"I think today the coach must try to make an effort to qualify," said Cameroon fan, Mbela.
The Danes have not scored in their last three matches and coach Morten Olsen will be hoping striker Nicklas Bendtner, who played for just over an hour against the Dutch despite a groin problem, will be fit. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
