- Story Text: A goal by Honda Keisuke in the 39th minute sealed Japan's first win in the 2010 World Cup Finals in Mangaung, Free State on Monday (June 14).
Fans outside the stadium, like Muasafumy Kono, were ecstatic.
"We always worry that Japan will concede a goal in the last ten minutes, but their defense line did very well," said Muasafumy.
After skepticism at Japan coach Okada's strategy for the tournament, one fan was pleased with the outcome.
"I think the strategy by the coach, Okada went very well," said Nakai Eiji.
Cameroon fans were sorley disappointed that regular goalkeeper, Idriss Kumeni did not play and some blamed the loss on goalkeeper Hamidou Souleymanou.
"The goalkeeper must stay still in the goal, because I'm so angry with the goalkeeper. Please I'm just praying for my boys, play nice. I'm so disappointed, the next time I know they're going to do better," wailed one distraught fan.
"We expected Kameni to play, our goalkeeper. He put a new, I don't know who that is, but it was just unfortunate," said another Cameroon supporter named Guy.
