- Story Text: South African fast bowler Makhaya Ntini will end his international career when he plays in front of an anticipated 50,000 crowd at the Moses Mabhida soccer stadium on Durban's beachfront on Sunday (January 9).
State President Jacob Zuma will attend and Ntini will be honoured as the first black South African to play cricket for his country; he will also receive an award for services to the game.
Indian batting legend Sachin Tendulkar will receive the same honour during the one-off Twenty20 international between South Africa and India.
Ntini said on Friday of Tendulkar: "It will be, it will be, it will be very, very, you know, good to see him play, you know, if I can bowl to him as well, because as a guy that played so many, you know, years cricket, it being your last, last game in your own country and you have a person like Sachin Tendulkar it will be great."
The fast bowler also said he would like to see more development of cricket among young players in rural areas.
