The Brazil soccer squad trained in Bloemfontein, South Africa on Friday (June 12), ahead of their defence of the Confederations Cup, which kicks off on Sunday.
Several hundred South Africans watched the Brazilians train after their arrival late on Thursday.
Most of the cheers were for Kaka, who is transferring from Milan to Real Madrid.
Holders Brazil open against Egypt in Bloemfontein on Monday, while one of their toughest opponents in the eight-team tournament, Italy, line up against the United States a few hours later in Pretoria.
The other main competition for the Brazilians will be Spain, but it was Italy that coach Dunga was asked about at a news conference.
"Italy are world champions. They have played very well in the European championships. We think it's going be a tough match as always. But we will play to win," said Dunga.
Brazil coach Lucio said he had not followed the Kaka transfer saga, but acknowledged that the player was important to Brazilians in every tournament.
