- Story Text: Ghana arrived in South Africa on Monday (June 7) with no fresh injuries following the last of their pre-tournament warm-up games.
A relieved Milovan Rajevac reported a clean bill of health for his World Cup squad after concluding preparations in Britain with a 1-0 win over Latvia at the weekend.
The Africans suffered a major setback with the withdrawal through injury of Michael Essien who had failed to recover from a knee injury.
Another key midfielder, Sulley Muntari missed the match against Latvia because of a thigh strain but is expected to play in the opening Group D match against Serbia on June 13.
It is Ghana's second appearance at the World Cup finals, the African side making it through their group before falling to Brazil at the first knockout stage in Germany four years ago.
As Well as Serbia Rajevac's team will also play Australia in Rustenburg on June 19 and Germany in Johannesburg on June 23. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
