- Story Text: Israeli defence minister Ehud Barak drummed up support in Tokyo on Thursday (February 16), after a series of bomb attacks which Israel blames on Iran and its Lebanese ally Hezbollah.
Israel claims its enemies were behind twin bomb attacks that targeted Israeli embassy staff in India and Georgia on Monday (February 13), wounding four people, and a botched bombing in the Thai capital on Tuesday (February 14).
Iran denies the accusation, while Hezbollah has made no comment.
On the second day of an official visit, Barak met Japanese Defence Minister Naoki Tanaka and the country's foreign minister, Koichiro Gemba, to push for support on Iran.
On Wednesday (February 15), Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihiko Noda warned Barak any military action against Iran would be "extremely dangerous", Kyodo News reported. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
