- Story Text: United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon met with China's top legislator Wu Bangguo in Beijing on Tuesday (November 2).
Wu, the Chairman of China's National People's Congress, greeted Ban in the capital's cavernous Great Hall of the People on the penultimate day of the U.N. head's visit to China.
Ban has already held meetings with China's President Hu Jintao and Premier Wen Jiabao, along with attending the closing ceremony of the Shanghai World Expo as the six-month event came to an end on Sunday (October 31).
His meeting with Premier Wen included discussion of Myanmar's parliamentary elections, state media reported.
This is Ban's fourth trip to China as the head of the UN and his second visit to the country this year.
Ban is scheduled to leave China on Wednesday (November 3). - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
