JOURNALIST TAKING NOTES (SOUNDBITE) (Portuguese) CARLOS QUEIROZ, PORTUGAL COACH, SAYING: "Most important message for all it's that no one can doubt that with the performance of the Portuguese team and the chances we created we will get anywhere at any stadium against any team we'll get the points for the qualification." QUEIROZ LEAVING NEWS CONFERENCE (SOUNDBITE) (English) ARIE HAAN, ALBANIA COACH, SAYING: "In our opinion it's a fantastic result specially because we had ten people on the ground, Portugal only had two really good chances and I must say they had to make these chances because for a team like Portugal it's not allowed to miss these chances, they did , and then we had a chance to play the zero and it was like this, I think for Portugal it's not so good and for us it's a very good result and we can go on." JOURNALIST (SOUNDBITE) (English) ARIE HAAN, PORTUGAL COACH, SAYING: "Some players in my team had a very hard work and very good in the position even in the first half we have a good chance, in the second half almost so but anyway was ten people with a result 0-0 in Portugal I think it's good for us" CRISTIANO RONALDO AND NANI LEAVING WITHOUT TALKING TO PRESS

- Story Text: Portugal's faltering World Cup qualifying campaign continued when they were held to a dismal 0-0 draw by 10-man Albania on Wednesday (October 15).
Carlos Queiroz's team, who have won only one of their four Group One qualifiers, were thwarted by Albania keeper Arian Beqaj who pulled off a series of good saves.
The visitors went down to 10 men on the stroke of halftime when substitute Admir Teli was sent off following two bookable offences.
Portugal piled on the pressure in the second period but Beqaj proved unbeatable. They squandered two golden chances late on when striker Hugo Almeida headed against the post and Nani failed to hit the target after a clever back heel from Nuno Gomes.
"It's hard to understand how with so many goal opportunities we did not win the game it's hard but in football sometimes happens and happened today but I'd like to say that although the players have tried everything," Queiroz said after the match.
"Most important message for all it's that no one can doubt that with the performance of the Portuguese team and the chances we created we will get anywhere at any stadium against any team we'll get the points for the qualification," he added.
The 30,000 crowd delivered a chorus of whistles when the home team left the field.
"In our opinion it's a fantastic result specially because we had ten people on the ground, Portugal only had two really good chances and I must say they had to make these chances because for a team like Portugal it's not allowed to miss these chances, they did , and then we had a chance to play the zero and it was like this, I think for Portugal it's not so good and for us it's a very good result and we can go on," said Albania coach Arie Haan.
Portugal have just one win from four qualifiers and sit third with five points. Denmark and Hungary lead the way on seven points. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
