- Story Text: Flowers placed on metal barriers near the site where a hijacked delivery truck mowed down pedestrians in Stockholm, killing four people, were moved to a nearby square on Sunday (April 9).
According to the city council, the flowers were moved because the weight of them threatened to make the barriers tip over.
Some barriers were set up as a cordon following the attack and some were already there because of construction work.
The flowers and candles were placed on the stairs leading to Sergels Torg plaza nearby where a gathering under the banner "Stockholm stands united" is due to take place later in the day.
Local authorities in Stockholm, where flags flew at half mast, said 10 people including a child were still being treated in hospital, with two adults in intensive care.
Sweden will hold a minute's silence at midday (1000 GMT) on Monday to mourn the dead. Police said they were maintaining a heightened presence, fearing copycat attacks. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
