"We have slew of female Pop and R&B leading Pop artist coming the most we have seen in quite a while. It's almost like a harmonic convergence. We have Janet Jackson, we have Cassie who is breaking through with her first single. We have Jessica Simpson coming through who is doing do very good job of reinventing herself with this new single, we have Christina Aguilera they just keep coming and coming this summer and fall. It is really am impressive slew of artists, " said Melinda Newman, Billboard magazine's West Coast Bureau Chief. It's the second biggest jump in Hot 100 history, the tracks soared after becoming available as downloads.
"What we are seeing certain people go in a dance 'hot' style. Like if you look at what Nelly Furtado has done, and what Fergie has done they are kind of playing up what they already got. You could say they are following Gwen Stefani and you can say that Gwen Stefani is following Madonna there is a long line. You also have the women who really focusing on their voice with style and image. For example like a Christina or a Beyonce where they are know as really good strong singers and they can reply on that as well," Newman told Reuters in Los Angeles, California on Thursday (August 3).
While glamour and a good stylist is commonplace for these songstresses Grammy winner Christina Aguilera took a 360 degree turn in style and content going from her "Dirty" phase to a hot and jazzy pinup.
"My new album "Back to Basics" is a double album. It's a throw back album to 1920's , '30's, and 40's with a modern day twist so it's very exciting," Christina Aguilera told Reuters.

So I am definitely going to be looking into that as well as Beyonce. I mean every album that comes out I go and buy cds so I am gonna check them out and see what's out there," singer Milian told Reuters while doing interviews for her new film "Pulse".
The spotlight isn't only shining on the talents women in this fields highly anticipated albums are on the way from Outkast as well as Pop sensation Justin Timberlake.
"While the women seem to be dominating what's coming out there are definitely some men who are going to be record stores. First and foremost Justin Timberlake his album comes out September 12 and it will be high. Although the first single "Sexy Back" has been somewhat polarizing because it focuses more on beats then his falsetto and singing like you are used to the set up is tremendous. He is pushing and working this record like crazy and there really is a pent up demand for someone like him a strong 'Pop' figure," Newman said. While the entertainment world focuses on the famous one names stars like Christina, Beyonce, Janet , and Jessica it looks like the young new girls on the block like Paris with her surprise hit "Stars are Blind" and sexy youngster Rhianna" with her hit "Unfaithful" are hot on their stilettos.
