- Story Text: Two boats were involved in a potentially dangerous
collision in the Elk River in Maryland on Monday morning. At
least four crew members are thought to be missing.
The accident occurred when a tugboat that was towing a
barge collided with a cargo ship in heavy fog on Monday . At
least two people were thrown into the water during the
collision.
The tugboat disappeared under the water within seconds.
Unconfirmed police reports say that one person was
airlifted from the scene.
The collision has caused an large oil slick, thought to be
coming from the sunken tugboat, in the Elk River.
