About a week ago in a country hospital in Bulgaria a 23-year-old mother gave birth to an extremely rare human being. A girl baby was born with two heads, and with two nervous systems, 2 backbones and 2 digestive systems enclosed in one body. The baby was taken to a clinic in Sofia where doctors are taking great care to keep the little girl alive. They believe that the normal development of twins was stopped at one point during gestation thus producing the abnormality, for reasons unknown. The doctors have said the two organism seem to be more independent of one another than was originally estimated. One reaction they have observed is that when the left foot is tickled, the right head reacts and vice versa. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
