Film has just been received from Afghanistan showing the hijacked Pakistan airliner during its 6-day stay at Kabul airport. The plane, a Boeing 720, was flown to Kabul as soon as it was seized on an internal flight on March 2nd. After six days on the tarmac, the plane left for Syria, where it is now subject to new negotiations between the Syrian authorities and the three Pakistani hijackers. More than 100 passengers are being held on the plane. Today (11/3) the three gunmen agreed to extend their deadline for release of what they say are political prisoners in Pakistan. Their new deadline for "drastic action" if their demands are not met is 1600 GMT tomorrow.
