- Story Text: An estimated 3,000 people have gathered in the main
square of the Yugoslav town of Pancevo to demand the
resignation of Yugoslav President Slobodan Milosevic.
About 3,000 opposition supporters gathered in the
main square of the industrial town of Pancevo outside Belgrade
on Friday (July 23), calling for Yugoslav President Slobodan
Milosevic to resign.
Under heavy rain, the protesters organised by the
opposition Alliance for Change carried a banner reading: "For
how long will you go on"
The rally in this small industrial town near Belgrade was
the latest in a series of demonstrations demanding the removal
of Milosevic.More than 350,000 signatures have been
collected so far in Serbia, according to the Alliance's officials.
