The Executive Board just confirmed that. It's the same for Ski Orienteering, there will be no proposal." JOURNALISTS (SOUNDBITE) (English) IOC DIRECTOR GENERAL FRANCOIS CARRARD SAYING "I am moving now to new disciplines, Natural Track Luge, there was a recommendation by the Commission that it should not be admitted to the programme of the XX Olympic Winter games and this was the decision of the IOC Executive Board. I am moving further to events, there were four requests. First of all there was Biathlon Mass Start events, the Executive Board has decided to admit it but for Turin only. It's a limited admittance for Turin only. The recommendation not to include Luge team events was approved. Ski flying is the same situation. On Skiing Snow Board Cross, the Executive Board has asked for further information and will take its decision in November in Mexico. And the last recommendation of the Commission was to recommend that on athletes quotas or target numbers be introduced in each sports and disciplines of the programme of the Winter Games, this was approved by the IOC Executive Board." The sporting programme for future Olympic Winter games, specifically the 2006 games in Turin was reviewed on Wednesday (August 28) by the IOC Executive Board meeting in Lausanne.
The IOC Executive Board decided not to recommend the admission of Ski Mountaineering and Ski Orienteering.
On disciplines, it was decided not to admit Natural Track Luge.
There was four requests for the inclusion of new events in the programme. It was decided not to include Luge-team event and Ski Flying. However, the Board decided to include Biathlon mass start in the programme of the 2006 Winter Games, but for Turin only.
