- Story Text: The second issue of the annual "Babies holiday" took place in town of Plovdiv, the second biggest city of Bulgaria, on Thurdsday (January 19).
In front of thier parents and grandparents, small children danced and sang on the military club's stage.
After a fashion show by pregnant women, thirty-six babies aged between eight and twelve months participated in a fast crawling competition.
Parents took the challenge seriously, displaying their baby's favourite toys on the finish line. Some parents even gave a little push to make their children go faster.
"It is a very nice competition. It is good for the children to express themselves, and it is fun for the mothers and fathers as well - you know, parents of small babies have limited social contacts - that is why we like this event," young mother Velichka Marinova described.
The prize ranged from toys to baby creams. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
