- Story Text: Fans gathered to say goodbye to singer Jenni Rivera on Wednesday (December 19) in Los Angeles. A public memorial service was held for fans to gather and remember the artist.Many broadcast television outlets were set to take the service live.
For many, the event is an emotional one.
"This is not the last goodbye, it's simply a memorial because she will always be in our hearts," said fan Mariela Canseco.
Rivera's plane crashed in a remote, mountainous area in northern Mexico on December 9. It killed all six aboard, including her publicist, lawyer and makeup artists.
