- Story Text: At least 15 people have been killed and dozens were wounded in Israel in two explosions apparently set off by suicide bombers in a crowded area of central Tel Aviv, Israeli emergency services said.
A Lebanon-based television station said Islamic Jihad had claimed responsibility for the deadly bombs in Tel Aviv on Sunday (January 5) but an official in the Palestinian militant group said there had been no official statement.
The West Bank correspondent for the Al-Manar station said Islamic Jihad telephoned him to make the claim.
