- Story Text: Fight organisers kept former world heavyweight champions Muhammad Ali and Joe Frazier apart at Sunday's (27 January) weigh-in for their Monday night bout in New York's Madison Square Garden.
The two boxers, who were involved in a brawl in a New York television studio last Wednesday, used different dressing rooms and weighed in separately. Ali at 15 stone two pounds was three pounds heavier than Frazier. Frazier won the last fight they had when they met three years ago.
The fight is being billed as "the second superfight". It may decide which man takes on current world heavyweight champion George Foreman.
