- Story Text: The Dutch World Cup squad returned to the Cote d'Azur believing they were worthy of their 2-1 second round win over Yugoslavia and looking forward to their next match.
Tuesday's (June 30) win means the Netherlands go to Marseille on Saturday to meet Argentina, who beat England in a penalty shoot-out.
Coach Guus Hindink said in La Turbie on Tuesday that it was good to be in the quarter finals -- but they wanted to be in the final too.
He said Argentina had a young, but experienced side and they made up a very competitive team Frank de Boer said he had never played against Argentina but knew they were very good.He said beating them on Saturday would also be good for Dutch confidence.
Goalkeeper Edwin van der Sar said the result against Yugoslavia was good and they would spend the next few days preparing for Argentina.
Most pundits believe the Netherlands will win -- unless Argentina can get through the Dutch defence in a way that most other teams have yet to achieve.
Since the Wembley night two years ago when the Dutch had four goals rammed past them by England, Hiddink's side have grown into a more confident, well-rounded unit. They may feel Argentina have already used up their allocation of luck for the tournament during their dramatic and draining second-round penalty shoot-out tie against England.
