WE'VE CHANGED THE REAR PART OF THE CAR AND WE'LL HAVE OVERALL A BETTER BALANCE AND A BIT MORE STABILITY. AS FAR AS JACQUES SAID AT THE TEST IN MONZA, HE IS ABLE TO PUSH MORE. IT SOUNDS PROMISING." FRENTZEN COMMENTING ON THE AFFECT THE WEATHER MAY HAVE ON THE RACE (ENGLISH) "THE WEATHER HERE - IT'S PROBABLY GOING TO BE ONE OF THE MAIN DIFFICULTIES. TODAY IT WAS OCCASIONALLY SHOWERING AND THEN NICE AGAIN, SUNNY AGAIN AND DRYING UP QUITE QUICKLY; SO IF THIS IS GOING TO BE LIKE THAT IN THE RACE, WE'RE GOING TO HAVE A LOT OF TYRE CHANGES DURING THE RACE." - Story Text: World motor racing champion Jacques Villeneuve returned home to Canada with a much improved Williams FW208 car and is hoping for a change of fortune in the Canadian Grand Prix in Montreal on Sunday (7 June).
Meanwhile, German team-mate Heinz-Harald Frentzen took time out from checks on the new car and the strains of the circuit to taste the delights of a traditional Canadian diner in downtown Montreal.
Williams tested their new car, which features a new rear end layout, in Monza, Italy late last week.
Both Villeneuve and Frentzen are looking for an improvement in the handling of the car after a disappointing season so far.
Villeneuve currently lies joint sixth in the championship table with team-mate Frentzen. They each have eight points, 38 points behind championship leader Mika Hakkinen of Finland in his McLaren.
Frentzen believes that it is the weather in Montreal which will cause problems for other teams on Sunday (June 7) and give Williams the advantage.Williams have three different types of rain tyre which would be a big advantage if the correct tyres are chosen for the conditions.
Frentzen also feels the acceleration and braking similarities between the Monza and Montreal circuits will mean the team can take full advantage of their recent testing.
While Frentzen was unable to take part in all of the testing at Monza, he says smile on Villeneuve's face is enough to indicate a real change in fortune for the team in Canada.
But Frentzen warned the true picture would only become clear after free practice on Friday (June 5) and qualifying on Saturday (June 6).
The circuit was renamed after Jacques' father Gilles Villeneuve, who was killed in 1982 at Zolder in Belgium.
The 69 lap race starts on Sunday 7 June at 1300hrs Canadian time (1700gmt).
