- Story Text: French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin
arrives at Sharm el Sheikh for memorial service.
French Foreign Minister Dominique de Villepin
arrived at the memorial service in Sharm el Sheikh vowing
France would spare no effort, time or equipment to find out
why an Egyptian Boeing 737 crashed last weekend, killing
148 people, mostly French tourists.
Earlier Villepin met Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak
before they both attended two ceremonies with relatives of
the French victims, one on land and one near the crash site
in the Red Sea.
French Ambassador to Egypt Jean-Claude Cousseran said
the two services, one on land and one near the crash site
at sea, could help the families come to terms with their
pain and grief.
