- Story Text: The Singapore Open Golf championship, final day, began in brilliant sunshine and ended in a downpour. Graham Harsh of Australia had locked promising in the opening rounds. So had Norman Wood of Great Britain. But 43 year old Ben Arda of the Philippines begged the last hole of the regulation and produced par golf for three more holes for a total of 284. Arda is known by his fans as the "golfing grandfather". This was the second time he has won the Singapore title.
