- Story Text: After a cold snap lasting several days, Rome was yesterday (Saturday, 6th. March) covered by an eight-inch blanket of snow. City traffic was disrupted and the Leonardo de Vinci Airport closed in what was for Rome the first real snowfall in four years. The same spell of cold weather north of the Mediterranean has also brought snow to the French Riviera and to Yugoslavia during the past week.
