- Story Text: The new Greek Government sworn in today in presence of Greek Regent, General George Zoetakis and Athens Archbishop Mgr. Ieronymos at Herod Atticus Maximos Mansion where the Regency. George Papadopoulos attended also the ceremony. Premier Papadopoulos, according to reliable sources, will not bring in former politicians at this stage of reshuffling. He has now a free hand, it is believed, and he will soon announce further liberalisation measures. The present changing of the Greek Government has given Papadopoulos the opportunity to dispose of his former army colleagues who held key-posts as Secretaries-General in the various Ministries. These "friends" will occupy the created 7 new governorates in the provinces to supervise local energies and activities. The new Cabinet is having 13 members and 27 Deputy Ministers. Only three former Ministers have been kept by Papadopoulos in the new Government.
