- Story Text: Iraqi's in the capital Baghdad, were coming to terms
with the deaths of Saddam's sons, Uday and Qusay.
Iraqi's in the capital Baghdad were celebrating the
deaths of Saddam's sons Uday and Qusay on Thursday (July24).
"Our people from north to south are pleased for their
killing. They started dancing for their death and tens of
thousands of people fired in air. And this means that the
Iraqi people are happy. My opinion is the same of that of the
pleased people," said Dr. Hadi Shubar, a local Iraqi.
"What we want from the coalition forces is to show Uday
and Qusay bodies on the TV screen. They are not better than
the other people who were killed. All of us will be pleased if
they are shown on television," said Amer Mohammed, a local
fishmonger.
Uday and Qusay had been hiding in a villa in Mosul, which
200 U.S. soldiers, backed by helicopters, attacked with
machine-guns and rockets on Tuesday (July 23).
They were tracked down after a tip-off from a walk-in informant who
will probably get the two 15-million U.S. dollar reward.
