- Story Text: Iraqi officials have taken the media to a site
mentioned by U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell is his
address to the United Nations, in Jurf Als'kher 40 km South of
Baghdad.
Iraqi officials took the media to the Al-Rasheed
Missile factory site in Jurf Als'kher on Friday (February 7).
Karim Jabar Director of the Al-Rasheed factory said that
the factory was operating according to the required limits and
nothing clandestine was taking place in the factory. He
dismissed allegations by Secretary of State Colin Powell as
baseless and he denied that there was any of weapons of mass
destruction.
"This site specialises in making boxes, it is not
forbidden and it's allowed under control by the inspectors.
All that was said is a lie," he said.
The media was taken around and also shown some of the
Al-fath missiles around the site.
Some of the missiles had UNMOVIC tags to show that they
were once inspected when the inspectors visited the site.
