- Story Text: Vitali Klitschko and Corrie Sanders hold news
conference for April 24 WBC heavyweight title match.
WBC heavyweight title contenders Vitali Klitschko
and Corrie Sanders met on Friday (March 19) in the Staples
Center in Los Angeles where they will fight for the title
on April 24, but this time they just conducted a war of words.
The title is currently vacant after the retirement of
Britain's Lennox Lewis, who beat Klitschko last year.
Klitschko is looking to bounce back from the loss and
avenge Sanders' victory last year over his brother,
Vladimir.
Klitschko, who was born in Ukraine and rose to fame in
Germany, told the news conference on Friday that he had
dreamed for a long time of being world champion.
Sanders was more direct, looking at Klitschko and
telling him: "I'm here on a mission and that's to take you
out..."
Klitschko, who now lives in Los Angeles with his wife
and children, said afterwards: "We have analysed many of
his (Sanders') fights. What happened during the fights? I
don't want to make the same mistake as my brother. He
simply underestimated
