State TV also broadcast images of the corpse of Prabhakaran's son and heir apparent, Charles Anthony, for the first time.
Sri Lanka's army commander Lieutenant General Sarath Fonseka said on state television on Monday that troops had completely wiped out the Tamil Tiger rebels and reunited a nation split by a 25-year separatist war. - Copyright Holder: FILE REUTERS (CAN SELL)
