It was challenging learning the fight choreography that I had to but I actually had a lot of enjoyment in that because I'd never gotten to do that before. It was really fun but, kind of challenging physically but a lot of fun." (SOUNDBITE) (English) ACTOR BRANDON ROUTH, SAYING: "Yeah, I would say the same. Honestly, people often times ask you that when you finish a project, ''what was the hardest part about it?' - Story Text: Brandon Routh, who played Superman in that comic book franchise's film remake in 2006, is back on the big screen playing another comic book hero. This time around, he's trading in the iconic blue and red suit for a doctors satchel and some interesting tools.
Dylan Dog, played by Routh, is a private investigator of the supernatural. His specialty is hunting wrong-doers attempting to disrupt the delicate balance between the human world and the supernatural.
Routh says that this film adaptation does not only re-tell the story of Dylan Dog but has the capability to exist outside of the comic book world.
"You know, I think this movie doesn't necessarily have the feel of a comic book movie although it is based on the Italian comic 'Dylan Dog.' It very much exists in a world that would have nothing to do with comics," said Routh.
"Dylan Dog: Dead of Night" also marks the directorial return of Kevin Munroe. Munroe is best known for his film adaptation of the popular comic "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" in 2007.
"Dylan Dog: Dead of the Night," based on the hugely successful Italian comic book series "Dylan Dog," hits U.S. theaters on April 29. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
