- Story Text: Borussia Moenchengladbach coach Andre Schubert said on Monday (December 5) that his team have nothing to fear when they play Barcelona at the Nou Camp in the Champions League.
Barcelona have made their worst start to a season since 2004/05, drawing four of their last five matches and surrendering nine league points at home already this term, one more than they dropped over the entirety of last season.
Despite losing 2-1 to the Catalan side earlier in the competition in Germany, Schubert told reporters that his side were not afraid of Barca.
"We are not afraid, we weren't afraid before, this is football, a game and fear has no space in it. Obviously we respect Barca, we have always respected them, Barca are an excellent team," he said.
Barcelona will be without Brazilian forward Neymar who is suspended, however Schubert pointed out that the Spanish side had no shortage of talent at their disposal.
"Obviously Neymar is a great player and is very important for Barcelona, he can't play tomorrow but (Lionel) Messi will do it and he won't do it badly," he said.
Defender Oscar Wendt said Moenchengladbach must play as they did in the first match against Barcelona where they were unlucky to lose.
"We must try to play as we did at home, everybody knows we made a great match against Barca but the result was not as expected. I hope we can play tomorrow in the same way," he said. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
