- Story Text: Argentina and Croatia made final preparations on Wednesday (November 23) for the weekend's Davis Cup final clash in Croatia's capital Zagreb.
For Croatia, this will be their second Davis Cup final, after a team led by Ivan Ljubicic and Mario Ancic managed to beat Slovakia in 2005.
This time around the Croatian team will rely on Marin Cilic, world no. 6 and winner of the 2014 U.S. Open, and the only top 10 player involved in the tie.
Argentina, led by world no. 38 Juan Martin del Potro, will try to win their first Davis Cup trophy, having lost four finals before, in 1981, 2006, 2008 and 2011.
Although the Croatian team, which also includes the veteran Ivo Karlovic and the young and talented Borna Coric, are seen as favourites, the Argentinians will be hoping to finally make up for their past lost finals, confident they could go all the way after they knocked out defending champions Britain in the semi-finals.
The draw will be held on Thursday (November 24) and the matches will be played from Friday to Sunday (November 25-27), with the sold out Zagreb Arena expected to host some 15,000 fans over the weekend. - Copyright Holder: REUTERS
