- Summary: LIVERPOOL FC COACH ROY HODGSON ARRIVING FOR POST-VICTORY NEWS CONFERENCE CAMERA CREWS FILMING SOUNDBITE (English) LIVERPOOL FC COACH ROY HODGSON SAYING: "I was relieved in particular, you know when you play as well as we did throughout the game and create as many goal chances, we did especially in the second half and you know, really deserved to win the game I was just delighted that we actually achieved it. I thought it was a good performance from start to finish though we were very unlucky to go down to a deflected shot so early in the game but we showed great character, to keep going, to keep playing the right football and I am really pleased that we acheived a victory here in Trabzon against, a team which is notoriously difficult to defeat here in Trabzon. Their record at home in both domestic and European competitions is very, very good." CAMERA CREWS FILMING SOUNDBITE (English) LIVERPOOL FC COACH, ROY HODGSON SAYING OF WINNING: "Yeah I think it was important, I think it is always important to win the games. I am hoping that we will have a strong squad this year. I think we are going need it to play in the European League and the Premier League, but as you saw tonight, there's players there that didn't play against Arsenal, didn't play against Manchester City but they've still come out and done a remarkable job. And you know, these games we play in the European league will be very useful for us in that respect, that we'll have a chance to give people, a regular game, which they might not get if we get a stable 11 together and those 11 tend to to play, you know, most of the matches." JOURNALIST TAKING NOTES SOUNDBITE (English) LIVERPOOL FC COACH, ROY HODGSON SAYING: "Particularly happy now that he said he is staying because I've never doubted that he was staying, and the speculation for me is something that you (journalists) have to do but it doesn't play a big part in my life."
